My name is Marc Blumer. This blog is all about preparing for retirement within a year. I will make this transition by thriving which is necessary for my survival. I call that “thrival”. Come and take the journey with me as I blog my way to retirement. My future plans are to work only in tax season with my son in his CPA practice (previously mine). My wife said, “what are you going to do with the rest of your year”? My reply was outlined in a post called “I Can See the Gate“
Thrival is the richest experience, based largely on self-acceptance. Please see my website for more description.

Thank you Marc. I am just breaking ground for my blog, Retirement Con Brio. Your posts resonate well with the philosophy behind my retirement coaching business. I came to read one and read many, with pleasure. I easily identify with your experiences (on the edge of retirement myself and ahead of you in birthdays). Gratefully, Jo Donovan

Marc,
After some review of your many postings, I find that your use of thrival is diluting the term. Most of your postings have nothing to do with actual thriving from the inside out. The reference to thrival for survival is convoluted. One would note even have a concern with
survival when thriving.
So, I am asking that you change the titling of your blog to essentially not dilute my service mark and brand any further.
Your experiences do have a con gusto sense to them, yet do
not rise or carry the essence of thriving in most any sense. Certainly there is some more precise labelling that you can find from the language.
Thank you,
Paul Radde
